Cabins with 35mm walls and above benefit from our double tongue-and-groove wind-lock system, providing an effective natural barrier against the elements.

This is why the structural base work on all our cabin installations is far superior to those used by most cabin suppliers who still use old fashioned timber set in concrete for a base. Creative Living garden buildings/cabins are built to the highest standards using sustainable kiln dried Scandinavian Spruce.
- Recycled Plastic Posts are used on all our cabin bases which won’t rot over time like timber posts used by many cabin suppliers!
- Fast Drying postfix enables the cabin construction to start 30 minutes after the base work is completed.

If you are working from home for example, you will require ambient working conditions all year round. So we provide Air Conditioning as an option.
All of these optional extras are individually priced so our customers can choose whichever of these options suit their individual requirements the best.

Our Plastic post system will never be compromised, unlike a timber post base work system.
- The base for your Cabin is probably the single most important part of the construction. A solid, well-built, weather-resistant base will provide a sound foundation for your cabin for years to come.
- Our recycled plastic post system is far superior to the timber posts system still used by other companies, which in time will be compromised and rot beneath ground levels. Our Plastic post system will never be compromised, unlike a timber post base work system.
- We also use pre-treated timbers on our base work above ground level, and these timbers are all supported by a recycled plastic post system that is secured within concrete below ground levels.
And we guarantee the system for 5 years!

A. No, you do not need planning permission to build a log cabin. Under regulations that came into effect on 1 October 2008 outbuildings are considered to be permitted development, not needing planning permission, subject to some limits and conditions.
Q. Can you live in a garden log cabin in the UK?
A. Yes, legally, you can live in a log cabin in your garden or other place on your property.
Q. Are garden log cabins well insulated?
A. Yes, our log cabins are extremely well insulated. If the cabin has been constructed using good quality cavity wall insulation using a double tongue and grooved wind lock system, this will provide a natural barrier to the elements.
Q. Can you use a log cabin as a home office?
A. Yes, log cabins make ideal home offices. A log cabin typically cost less than a home-extension or a loft conversion, adds potential value to your property, and can be constructed in a fraction of the time.
Q. How much does a garden office cost?
A. The price of your log cabin will depend on the quality of the garden office you buy, its size and layout and any optional extras you decide to have.

A. Yes. Our air conditioning units are very economical to run and quiet on all operational settings. They come with the latest state of the art air source heat pump technology and a manufacturer’s guarantee of three years.
Q. Do your log cabin garden offices have Wi-Fi internet connection so I can work from home?
A. Yes. We can offer a hard wired internet catalogue 6 cable from your house out to your new cabin with a WI-FI router, giving you the same internet speed currently enjoyed within your home.

I wanted to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for the incredible team you sent to install our cabin – Adam and Junior.
From the very beginning, when Adam called me upon arriving at our house and I was unable to be there, I was touched by his patience and professionalism. Despite my initial confusion about the timing, Adam’s courteous manner immediately put me at ease. I must admit, there was a tree near the fence that I was a little sentimental about and was reluctant to remove. I knew it would be in the way – no problem for Adam, he just mentioned that it may be in the way, and he may have to trim some of it off – was that okay for me?
Even when I was not present for the installation, Adam went above and beyond by sending me photos for approval and later a video to explain the final details. His dedication and attention to detail truly impressed me.
Although I have not yet seen the completed work, I have full confidence in the exceptional quality based on Adam’s exemplary service. Please convey my heartfelt gratitude to Adam for his outstanding work and professionalism.

After visiting many log cabin stockists across the width and breadth of the country, we had given up hope of finding a quality building. Then we discovered Creative Living, and cannot express sufficiently our joy in what we had found!
